Ken and I were so excited to visit Tybee Island, for the first time! We were also excited to be taking the trailer out again , for what really was the first REAL camping trip. It was a 6 hour drive , through Savannah to get to Tybee. Along the way there were marshes on each side.
The campground was nice with tons of trees. The only problems we had were the heat and humidity! We didn't realize it would be so bad this late in the year! Also, The Island is not very "dog-friendly". So, we couldn't walk on the beaches or on the pier. Bummer!
We were happy to have visited there. We'll come back in the winter!
