| So....May has been a month of good things and bad things... The Friday before Mother's Day, Dan Houghton passed away! It was horrible and Stef immediately flew to SoCal to be with Mindi. We had the kids a lot while Jimmy worked, and we loved the time with them. Jimmy flew out on the following Friday, to SoCal, for Dan's service. So we had the kids for the weekend! Sleepover! THEN.....on Sat. Grma arrived for a week! Sat. night we had THE worst thunderstorm ever! Lightning, thunder, rain!!!! The next morning....no power, no water, no TV, no internet! We learned later that 3 water plants went down in the storm , along with Stephens Rd getting totally washed out, right by our house! Our power & water were out for 8 hours...but came back on...making life a lot easier ( flush!) However, TV & internet took till late Monday night. Ron and Vicki came Monday - Wed. to see Grma...Stef & Jim came home LATE Monday night....and a huge tornado hit Oklahoma City! I haven't even mentioned my May dental issues! I will be happy to see May turn to June! |
